Young Astronaut Training Camp

Young astronauts will participate in a variety of astronaut training and astronomy activities. After completing their training, they will go on a mission to the International Space Station. In addition, they will make and take home many “out-of-this-world” projects, such as rockets, space food, and their very own spacesuit!

Ages: 8-10 years old
Dates: Session 1: June 6-10 Session 2: June 13-17
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Cost: $210

Astronaut Training Camp

Participants in the Astronaut Training Camp will experience activities similar to NASA astronauts and engineers in training. They will compete in rocket design and launch challenges, experience two simulated space missions, and participate in hands-on activities including a lunar colony that they will design, build, and inhabit!

Ages: 10-13 years old
Dates: Session 1: June 20-24 Session 2: June 27-July 1
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Cost: $210

Advanced Astronaut Training Camp

In this unique and popular camp, participants will experience what it would be like to train as a real NASA astronaut. Activities will include mental and physical challenges as well as design competitions. In addition, advanced astronauts will learn basic SCUBA diving skills that will enable them to participate in a one-day underwater spacewalk training simulation. SCUBA training and gear are included in this camp.

(NOTE: SCUBA participants must be at least 10 years old and medically fit to dive. Additional forms are required to register for this camp.)

Ages: 10-13 years old (includes 1 day of SCUBA)
Dates: Session 1: July 11-15 Session 2: July 18-22 Session 3: July 25-29
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Cost: $250

Advanced Rocketeering

Kids who love designing, building, and launching rockets will get a “blast” out of this camp. Young rocket scientists will spend the week using specialty software to design, build, and launch their own rockets. They will also build their very own electronic launch systems and platforms.

Ages: 10 and up
Dates: June 13-17
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Cost: $275

Inventors’ Workshop

This is the camp that Thomas Edison wishes he could have attended. Young inventors and innovators will love spending time messing about with the inner-workings of everyday gadgets and then using them to engineer solutions to challenges. We’ll provide the tools and expertise to help your Young Edison create a masterful “innovention”.

Ages: 12 and up
Dates: June 27 – July1
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Cost: $275 per session or $525 for both sessions

Aquatic Robotics

Make a splash this summer! Using devices such as soldering irons, rotary drills and lots of perseverance, participants will learn basic robotics and build their own custom SeaPerch underwater rover/ROV. They will then learn the basics of SCUBA and participate in a specially designed human/robot hybrid “weightless” mission.
