Astronaut Ice Cream and other freeze-dried foods have been aboard space missions since the early Mercury Missions. Today, Astronaut Foods are a novelty treat that can be found in space centers, museums, toy shops, outdoor stores and other locations throughout the world. Educators also use Astronaut Foods to further engage students when learning about space exploration.

At Astronaut Foods, we are dedicated to creating a fun and educational eating experience in all of the food we produce!

Our Food

You don’t have to be an astronaut to enjoy Astronaut Foods. We produce a variety of delicious, space-inspired treats like Astrorox freeze-dried ice cream drops, Alien Ice Cream, Astronaut fruits and more.

Astronaut Freeze-dried Ice Cream is, in fact, real ice cream - all the proof you'll need is in the tasting. The freeze drying technique removes 98% of the original water content, and ultimately produces a ready-to-eat dried ice cream bar that doesn’t melt! At first, the texture is much like a cookie, but quickly softens in your mouth and returns to the texture of ice cream.

Freeze-dried Ice Cream requires no refrigeration and has a 3-year shelf life. The ice cream is available in a variety of flavors: Neapolitan, Chocolate-Chocolate Chip, Mint Chocolate Chip, Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich, Cookies & Cream Ice Cream Sandwich, and Astrorox Neapolitan ice cream drops.

We also offer a full line of freeze-dried fruit: Strawberries, Bananas, Peaches, Red Seedless Grapes and Cinnamon Apples.

All of our products are produced in our Boulder, CO facility.
